IF WE WANT TO PRESERVE OUR CULTURE WE MUST CONTINUE CREATING IT.

Our Philosophy

Pukllas was born as a response to the silencing and discrimination that our Andean culture has experienced for generations.

For years, our languages, knowledge, clothing, and expressions have been marginalized and rendered invisible in fashion, the media, education, and everyday life.

At Pukllas , we weave a new narrative: one where the Andean is not hidden, but celebrated.

We reclaim our roots through a creative fusion of the Andean and the urban, the traditional and the contemporary. Each garment is a form of resistance, but also a source of joy and pride in who we are.

We don't just make clothes: we weave memory, we clothe identity, and we proudly wear the Andean spirit in every seam.

Our History

Pukllas was founded three months before the pandemic, with the vision of being a small boutique showcasing unique and exclusive designs.
We started with great enthusiasm, but like many other initiatives, we had to temporarily close due to the global health emergency.

After a year and a half, we returned with renewed strength and purpose. We opened our first store on 12 Ángulos Street in Cusco, and later in places full of history and energy like Ollantaytambo, Chinchero, and Cusco's Plaza de Armas.

We work in collaboration with artisans from the Chumpe community in Lamay, Cusco, who hand-weave each Andean textile using ancestral techniques and natural dyes.

Each garment we create is a celebration of our roots, a fusion of the Andean and the urban, of handmade and contemporary design.

At Pukllas , we don't just make clothes: we weave stories, reclaim our culture, and dress with identity.
